Physics & Astronomy at Kennesaw State University is part of the Department of Biology and Physics. We currently have seven full time faculty members conducting research in six areas of Physics: Astrophysics, Atmospheric Physics, Optical Physics, Theoretical Particle Physics, Experimental Particle Physics, and Physics Education. Our faculty are widely published and have received external grant support from agencies such as the NSF, DOD, NASA, and the Department of Education. These faculty teach courses in support of undergraduate and graduate programs in the College of Science and Mathematics, including the Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Physics degree.
