The Department of Biology & Physics at Kennesaw State University has a large and diverse faculty group active in research in a variety of areas including Aquatic Ecology, Plant Ecology, Restoration Ecology, Biotechnical Molecular Ecology, Molecular & Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Science Education, Radio Astronomy and Theoretical Particle Physics.

The strength of our department is in undergraduate research opportunities. We feel that participation in research as undergraduates is an essential element of students' development as scientists. Therefore we offer a myriad of opportunities regardless of the students' area of interest. Our students have competed favorably against graduate students in their research presentations at professional meetings across the country.
